Added in my latest ver of the player and improved the controller. Going to edit the car controller to have a follow cam while moving and a free orbit cam while standing still.



Wrote my own character controller. It handles so much more like I want it to now. No animations tho... Ill add those in this week end.

Also found a cool shader that would be amazing for the mini map... Unfortunately it requires another camera... and that would put me up to 3 cameras...

I'll upload a new video tomorrow, as Ive fixed and changed a lot of things and I want to finish of things like the shooting and city lighting(rough so far)...

Added in civilians that walk around and when the player hits them with a car, ragdoll takes over... Very fun... Thinking up a way to spawn the ai in/out depending on which area the player is in... kind of like lod's I guess... But not... Also added in a mission marker, ill make a simple script that loads up the hover car tutorial level (ill make that quickly) and ill add in some options like "restart mission" and "oooops, reload the game I stuffed up and now its broken"

by the end of the week I will also have the cars combat mode fully functioning with bullets and stuff...

Then its just the character controller and animations.

I realised somewhere along the line that I was straying from my desired art style of clay or oil paint, which would be achieved by the use of barley any textures, but massive amounts of normal maps... So I've gone back to that line of thought and this is what I've got:
